The media in Italy believes that Inter Milan is now chasing Filipe Luis, while the name of Liverpool FC was also linked with the Brazilian defender. Meanwhile Atletico Madrid is trying to push Lendoiro.

The situation of Filipe Luis seems to be living a new chapter as two new powerful clubs seem to be interested in the Brazilian player. On Thursday the Italian media was informing that Inter Milan is now chasing the left-back defender.

A key to understand the operation is the arrival of  Rafael Benitez to the Italian club; he seems to be the one asking for the player. The media emphasizes the fact that the agent of the Spanish coach is the same one of Filipe (Manuel García Quilón).

Inter seems ready to offer €10 million for the defender, but Lendoiro won’t accept that offer as Atletico Madrid was already offering €12 million, but it’s speculated that the Italian club will increase the bid as soon as they sell right-back defender Maicon to Real Madrid. At the same time, the Italian papers wrote that the former club of Rafa Benitez, Liverpool FC, is also interested in the player and might preparing an offer.

This is good news for Lendoiro, Depor’s boss has been negotiating with Atletico Madrid since a couple months ago, but Los Rojiblancos are not fulfilling the expectations of the president, mainly because he wants a single payment and not to include other players in the operation.

In recent days it has been informed that Atletico might be trying to put some pressure to Lendoiro through the player’s agent and also menacing to search for other options, like Nigerian Taye Taiwo, but if the interest of Inter and Liverpool is real, then it could increase the competence to sign him and also the price of the possible operation.
