Deportivo reached an agreement with Mexican striker Aldo De Nigris; but his club Monterrey CF didn’t allow the exit of the player. The 27-year-old man was supposed to come loaned. Now, Depor still exploring the market.

Lotina asked for reinforcements after the defeat before Real Zaragoza and Lendoiro tried to close the arrival of Mexican striker Jesús Aldo de Nigris Guajardo; he is 27 and was supposed to come loaned from Mexican club Monterrey CF. The information appeared first on Wednesday at American sporting network ESPN as journalist Fernando Schwartz announced the interest of Depor in the player.

Just a couple of hours later the player himself confirmed this information through his Twitter account as he stated that, “If Depor wants me, then it’s a dream come true for me”. And on Thursday Radio Galega confirmed that Deportivo and Monterrey FC have reached an agreement for the loan of the forward, the operation would cost €300,000 and was going to last until the end of the season.

But by Thursday, Monterrey stepped back as the coach of the team, Victor Vucetich, blocked the operation. According to Radio Galega, the reason why the loan was blocked is the problems that Monterrey CF had in order to cash the money for the loan of striker Suazo to Spanish club Real Zaragoza, and also that the transfer window is already closed in the North American country and Monterrey won’t be able to sign a replacement.
This information was confirmed by Vucetich as in a phone interview at Radio Cadena Ser he stated that, “This isn’t the right moment to allow his exit as we are playing for a lot of things.”. Later the sporting director of the club, Luis Miguel Salvador, said that Monterrey will not allow the exit of anyone, and that they will only be opened for negotiations in June.

Later, De Nigris himself  gave a press conference and explained the issue, “It is official, Depor presented a loan offer that included a buyout option, so I talked to the club and exposed that my dream is to perform for that team and also at the best league in the world, and I talked to Vucetich too, but the club has another idea and it isn’t possible. I thank the offer of Deportivo, but the club told me that it isn’t a matter of money, but of the deadlines."

De Nigris was targeted by Deportivo as he presented good numbers in recent seasons; in the year 2010, the Mexican striker scored 10 goals in 23 liga matches, plus 4 in the CONCACAF Champions League, but wasn’t picked for the Mexican national team that disputed the FIFA World Cup in South Africa due to an injury problem.

According to Radio Galega, the club will now try to close two signings before Monday; the first is the wished striker of Lotina and the other a new right winger, this last reinforcement could cover the possible departure of Jonathan Urreta to Uruguay.
