TRANSFER RUMOURS

15 Jun 2011
Another week has begun and the transfer rumours related to Deportivo continue to flow out; however the Galician club hasn’t closed yet any operation. Now four new names are linked with Depor.

New week and new rumours; Deportivo still trying to close its first signing for Segunda División and it seems that president Lendoiro is taking his time in order to choose the right candidates. Since Monday four new players have been linked with the Galician club.

The first name on the list is left-back defender Ayoze Díaz (29, RCD Mallorca); he has plenty of experience at Primera División with Racing Santander and RCD Mallorca and is ending contract on June 30; Oltra knows him as he played before at Segunda with Ciudad de Murcia (later Granada 74). Depor Sport wrote on Tuesday that this signing isn’t a priority, but it seems contradictory news according to what the player said.

Because on Monday Ayoze talked to Radio Cadena Ser and said that Valerón himself called him in order to join Depor, ”I spoke to Valerón and he told me that Depor still okay. That despite the relegation they have a solid project in order to return. It’s a pride to see him calling me. The Canarians always succeeded there and will love to join the team. Depor is attractive for any player. It is a big team and it is an interesting choice for any player. My goal is to play at Primera, but Depor is never disposable, especially if Oltra is there.

However, Ayoze has been also linked with Osasuna, club that has just sold Monreal to Malaga CF, so it won’t be so easy. Besides, his agent, Alejandro Caamaño, told to Riazor.org that he is aware of Depor’s interest, but that he hasn’t talked yet with anybody from the Galician club, and also that the interest of Depor ”Is just one more option that the player likes, but that isn’t above others.”

The other three names relayed with Depor were released by Radio Galega; they informed that Deportivo is interested in three players: left-back defender Boukary Dramé (25, FC Sochaux), central defender Jordi Figueras (23, FC Rubin Kazan) and playmaker/left-winger Pablo Sarabia (19, Real Madrid Castilla).

Dramé is a French/Senegalese defender that played two games in liga with Real Sociedad and later joined FC Sochaux; he ends his contract on June 30 and on this season he played 23 games at Ligue 1 scoring 2 goals. Jordi is a former defender of Celta that was transferred to FC Rubin Kazan one and a half year ago; on the current season he played 25 games loaned at Real Valladolid and precisely he was the player that scored the own goal that cost the promotion to his team (1-3 Vs. Elche on the past Sunday).

Finally, Sarabia is one of the most talented players at Real Madrid Castilla; he can perform as a playmaker and also as a left winger; he has scored twelve goals in the Segunda B season and it seems that Depor could try to close a loan deal. However, this last operation seems almost impossible as foreign clubs like SL Benfica are pushing strongly for him and it is rumoured that he will go to the Portuguese club as part of the operation for Fábio Coentrão.

If this isn’t enough, on Tuesday Radio Cadena Cope announced that the club is going to announce the first signing of the new season between Tuesday and Wednesday, and that it will be a defensive midfielder that isn’t Diego Rivas (31, Real Sociedad). Rivas was linked with the club on the past week and on last Thursday’s night there was going to be a meeting between his agents and the club, but it was cancelled and until the moment noting more has happened.

In more transfer news, striker Nino (31, Tenerife CF) is close to join Osasuna; Oltra wanted him to lead the striking zone of Depor at Segunda, but the Elche-born attacker has a big offer coming from Pamplona (800,000 Euros per season) and he told to a local website that he is close to sign a two-year contract with Los Rojillos.
