Deportivo is looking at Barcelona B in the attempt to sign the second goalkeeper needed by Oltra, but it won’t be easy as it depends of several factors.

New coach José Luis Oltra has admitted that Deportivo is looking for a goalkeeper in the market; it wasn’t a secret as Manu ended his contract and has already signed for Recreativo de Huelva. Little was known about the targets that the Galician club was following in order to close the gap, until Catalan Sport gave some hints on Saturday.

The Sportpaper wrote that Depor is interested in Oier Olazábal Paredes (22) and Rubén Miño Peralta (23); the two goalkeepers that defended the goal of Barcelona B during the past season. Both fulfill the profile of the second keeper that Depor is searching for: young and with experience at Segunda.

The problem is that their arrival depend on several factors; starting with the fact of who will stay at Barca B. The Catalan club was close to sign the incorporation of Argentine goalie Esteban Andrada, but the operation was blocked at the last minute and it currently stays at the same point.

So, Barcelona B would need to unblock the operation before allowing the exit of any of these two goalkeepers; if that is not enough, there are other clubs interested in Oier and Miño: Zaragoza, Athletic Bilbao and Hércules; which means a strong completion for Deportivo.

Also, Sport speculates that Deportivo is interested in these two goalkeepers in order to cover the possible exit of Dani Aranzubia, but that scenario isn’t probable, first because the exit of Dani isn’t so probable now, and later because it case of happening the Galician club will search for a more veteran player in order to cover the spot.
