Deportivo travels to Vilalba in order to start the second phase of the pre-season; on Friday the team will play the first friendly match; two days later this stage ends with the second friendly game of the pre-season.

Today Deportivo travels to Vilalba [72 Km away from La Coruña] in order to start a new stage on the pre-season; the group of twenty-three players is traveling by bus from the Riazor (11h00 CET) and will arrive to Hotel Spa Attica21 a couple of hours later. In the afternoon the team will train at the A Magdalena stadium. During the stage the team will be working in a double shift.

On Tuesday Ruben Pérez and Andrés Guardado will join the concentration; Adrian was also called for this day, but he is expecting break his link with Deportivo and will not travel to Galicia. The stage will last until Sunday and includes the first two friendly matches of the pre-season.

The first will take place on Friday against Viveiro CF (19h30 CET), a club from the Preferente league. The match will take place at the Cantarrana stadium (1,000 spectators). Two days later the team will play against Racing Club Vilálbes, a club from Tercera División. This game will be played at the A Magdalena stadium (2,500 spectators).

New coach José Luis Oltra has only spent one week at Deportivo, but he already is making a trend at the club due to the characteristics of his training sessions. Since the first day the Valencian coach is dividing his sessions in two parts, one is an extensive physical training and the second a tactical session in which the players work with the ball.

It is the opposite strategy to the one of Caparrós, who always preferred to emphasize the physical work within the first two weeks to later introduce the ball in the following week. The strategy of Lotina was in-between of the other two methods as the Basque man divided the week in two parts, with the first days dedicated to the physical work and the last to the tactical training.

The stage at Vilalba will also add a new factor: the relaxation. Hotel Attica21 is a specialized station in terms of hot springs, so it will also help the players to relax and start the mental preparation ahead of the Segunda season and the goal of the promotion.
