Depor’s first team is already in Vilalba; the players worked at the A Magdalena stadium and will spend the rest of the week at Hotel Spa Attica21; they will also play a couple of friendly matches.

Deportivo started the second phase of its pre-season with a mini-stage at Vilalba; the team traveled during the morning and in the afternoon it completed the first session of the stage. The only novelty during the one-hour session was the absence of central defender Ze Castro, who skipped the training due to a muscular problem (quadriceps).

The first team has its base at Hotel Spa Attica21 and completes the training sessions at the A Magdalena stadium (Lugo). The plan is to have two training sessions per day between Tuesday and Thursday; then the team will face its first friendly match of the season against Viveiro CF at the Cantarrana stadium (19h30 CET), and on Sunday it will face Racing Vilálbes.

Before the short trip, Valerón and Rochela talked to reporters at the press room of the Riazor; the central defender is conscious that he still needs to prove that he deserves a spot at the team, "This pre-season is, perhaps, the most important moment of my career. I am searching for a spot at the team, and I will seriously fight for it. We have four central defenders at the team and I guess that if nobody leaves, then nobody will come.”

Meanwhile, Valerón was trying to stay focused on what lies ahead for Deportivo, "Depor has spent a lot of years at Primera, it is a team that has always been at the highest level and is now at Segunda. And, with the squad that we have, it's normal to see that the rivals are seeing us as a difficult opponent, but the label of favourite is put by the facts. The rest is useless. We must be competitive.”
