Oltra will have seven casualties for the game at El Madrigal; four players are injured, two are concentrated with their national teams and one has requested permission to skip the last game. Jesús Vazquez is training on the pitch.

Deportivo is saying good-bye to Segunda División during the visit to Villarreal B (Sunday, 19h30 CET, El Madrigal); it has been the most relaxed week on the season after clinching the promotion on the past Sunday. The celebrations lasted until Tuesday, the team returned to train on Wednesday and the last two training sessions have been pretty soft. Besides, today the team will have a barbecue at Abegondo as a new way to celebrate.

It’s expected that coach Oltra will make several rotations, though he also has several casualties. Left winger Andrés Guardado and striker Lassad Nouioui are concentrated with their national teams and won’t play the last game of the season. The Mexican already signed a contract with Valencia CF for the next four seasons, while the Tunisian attacker might not return as he hasn’t accepted yet the renewal offer of the club.

There are other four casualties due to injury reasons. Playmaker Valerón and central defender Ze Castro are missing the last two games due to a hamstring problem; left winger Diogo Salomão hasn’t been able to surpass his groin injury and won’t be available to play the last game of the campaign.

The other injured man is Jesús Vázquez, the good thing with him is that on this week he was already training on the pitch working in a “footvolley” session, which hints that he might be fit to play at the beginning of next season.  The seventh casualty for the game will be Borja Fernandez, the centre midfielder asked permission to skip the last game on the season due to personal reasons (he’s about to get married).

Despite the relegation of the first and second team, Villarreal wants a party for the weekend, a tribute for the kids at the youth teams for their work during the season. For this reason the match is moved from the sporting city of the club, place where Villarreal B plays its liga games, to El Madrigal; therefore Depor is going to play its last game at Segunda performing in a stadium that was of Primera for the season that’s ending.

Coach Julio Velázquez has the casualty of central defender Iriome González, who is out suspended with five yellow cards. Another centre back, Pablo Íñiguez, is doubtful due to an injury (psoas). But at the same time he’s recovering keeper Diego Mariño, who returns today from the concentration with Spain’s U-21 team, and left-back defender Antonio García ´Toño´, who was suspended for the past clash against FC Cartagena.
