Deportivo is on vacation until July; then the team will have one month in order to prepare the Primera season 2012/13, for now Lendoiro is on the spotlight as he is trying to build up the next squad of José Luis Oltra.

The season 2011/12 ended with a positive note for Deportivo; the Galicians are the champions of Segunda and are returning to Liga BBA after just one year in hell. After the final whistle at El Madrigal the players were already on vacation. They flied to La Coruña and only picked their cars at Abegondo before starting the deserved rest.

Some of the players even took separate plans in order to travel to their home cities; the club informed that the date for the return to trainings is July 10, this since the liga season is scheduled to begin on August 18/19, though the Spanish Player’s Association (AFE) is trying to delay the kick-off in one week, this since they want more rest for the players. If the season is finally delayed then the return to Abegondo might also be delayed in one week.

For the moment the planning of the club is to make the pre-season in Galicia, playing friendly matches in the region and perhaps making a stage in Vilalba. There are no plans of taken the team outside of Spain, though there are rumours that the team might be invited to a couple of tournaments in Seville, plus the Teresa Herrera, tournament that will be played one week before the debut in liga.

Before the return president Lendoiro has to build up the squad that Oltra will train in his second season at Deportivo; there are a lot of things to be done in the transfer window as several key players are ending contract, and Depor’s boss already stated that the club will at least make six signings, always depending on the exits. So, he has six weeks to fulfill the job.

After June 30, only 18 players will still have a contract ahead of the season 2012/13: Aranzubia, Manuel Pablo, Laure, Rochela, Ze Castro, Aythami, Ayoze, Raul Garcia, Seoane, Saul, Valerón, Juan Dominguez, Álex Bergantiños, Jesús Vázquez, Bruno Gama, Juan Carlos, Riki and Bodipo.
