Deportivo could be signing a new left-back defender on this week; the club is also searching for at least one more striker, while it awaits for news regarding the cases of Lux and Diego Colotto.

After the arrival of André Santos and the continuity of Diogo Salomão, Deportivo continues on the quest searching for reinforcements. For this week it’s rumoured that the Galician club is trying to secure the arrival of one left-back defender and one striker.

The main target for the left-back position is Tiago Miguel Pinto (24, Rio Ave FC), another Portuguese player that could join Depor thanks to agent Jorge Mendes. The media in Portugal believes that both clubs are close to reach an agreement, which should be a loan spell that could be announced on this week.

Meanwhile, Deportivo is targeting to sign two new strikers; one of them could be arriving during this week. Once again is a player represented by Jorge Mendes: Diego da Silva Costa (23, Atletico Madrid). This is a more complicate operation as the loan with Atletico requires seeing the Madrilenians paying part of the player’s wages and for now the relations between both clubs aren’t good after the exit of Adrian from Depor.

Another name linked with Depor in recent days is Hugo Viana, a centre midfielder that would arrive loaned from Sporting Clube de Braga, the same club of Tiago Pinto. This last operation leaves some doubts as Deportivo already have four players for that position (Álex, Juan Dominguez, Jesús Vázquez and André Santos).

Deportivo is also pending to know the future of goalkeeper German Lux and centre back Diego Colotto, both players are ending contract and the club already presented a renewal offer, but they haven’t responded yet.  Colotto has been linked with RCD Espanyol in recent days. If both players don’t continue at Depor, then Lendoiro will have to search for two more signings in order to cover their spots.
