It was expected to see some new arrivals for the week thatís ending, but nothing happened. Deportivo is now looking for five new signings: a left-back, two central defenders, a left winger and at least one new striker. The list could be extended to one keeper.

Deportivo ended the week without completing new signings; last week the Galician club completed the arrival of centre midfielder Andrť Castro plus the extension of the loan spell for left winger Diogo Salom„o.

For this week the media in A CoruŮa was expecting to see Lendoiro closing the arrival of left-back Tiago Pinto(24, Rio AVE FC). It was reported that Deporís president, agent Jorge Mendes and the Portuguese club were close to seal the deal, but there were complications regarding the amount of the operation and now itís feared that Deportivo will have to search for other options.

Depor is searching for a new left-back defender after the exit of Claudio Morel and within the last three days two new names were linked with the club: ex-Atletico Madrid captain Antonio Lůpez (30) and Portuguese Evaldo Fabiano (30, Sporting CP).

There are other three positions that Deportivo needs to reinforce: the first is the centre of the defense; the exit of Diego Colotto is forcing the club to sign two new players, this since itís expected that David Rochela will be loaned out ahead of next season. It isnít clear yet the targets of the club, at least the names arenít public.

One of the oldest wishes at the club is to find a goal-scorer, something thatís more needed now taking in mind that Lassad Nouioui will probably leave, while Andrťs Guardado already joined Valencia CF, reason why the club also needs a substitute for Salom„o.

And Deportivo could also need a new goalkeeper, German Lux hasnít renewed his contract and itís rumoured that Lendoiro wonít wait for him beyond this weekend. For now Greek keeper Michalis Sifakis (27, Aris) is the name linked with the Galician club. He was playing the UEFA Euro 2012 with his country and was just eliminated by Germany in the quarterfinals (2-4).
