It has been a busy week for the left-back position at Deportivo; it started with the expected arrival of Evaldo and it ended up with the dispelled rumour of Poulsen. In the middle other two names have been linked with the Galician club.

Deportivo still looking for a new left-back defender and the only thing for sure is that Lendoiro is exploring the market searching for the companion for Ayoze Diaz. Everything else is a mere speculation. And it’s that the past week was full of rumours and false news.

On the past week it was commented that Depor was close to hire Brazilian Evaldo dos Santos (30) coming loaned from Sporting CP; Sportpaper Deporte Campeón even printed a front page welcoming the player to Deportivo. However nothing happened and now the media is even questioning if he’s a real target of the club.

Then, on Sunday, Sportpaper AS wrote that Deportivo already had a two-year agreement with Danish Simon Poulsen (27), who has just ended contract with AZ. He was also linked with Deportivo by Radio Onda Cero, but the player himself already told to a radio station in Denmark that it isn’t true, though he admitted the interest for him.

If these rumours aren’t enough other two names were linked with Depor during the past week. The first is a familiar face: Joan Capdevila (34). The Catalan is searching for the door out at SL Benfica and already said that he would love to return, though he was also linked with a move to Atletico Madrid. The other name linked with the Blanquiazul outfit is João Carlos Reis Graça ‘Joãozinho’ (22, Beira-Mar). He was linked with Depor in as part of a loan negotiation with Jorge Mendes.
