Only three clubs have won their first two games, two of them are Real Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano, while Depor has had a strong start adding four points. Four clubs have lost the first two games and Real Madrid has only picked a point.

There were huge surprises in matchday 02 at Primera División, starting with the defeat of Real Madrid visiting Getafe CF (1-2). Los Blancos claimed the lead in the ‘mini Madrilenian derby’, but were later shocked by the goals of Varela and Barrada. Now Real has completed an unusual start with only one point in two games.

FC Barcelona continues to be the leader in la liga with two wins in two matches, but the Catalans lived a tough moment in the visit to Pamplona as they barely defeated CA Osasuna (1-2). The Navarrans are still protesting the first goal and the red card sawn by their captain Puñal.

The other two clubs that have won their first two games are Real Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano, a big surprise as these two clubs are targeting the permanence and have found themselves at the top of the standings. Rayo made a solid match visiting Real Betis and picked up the three points (1-2) at the Benito Villamarín, while Valladolid needed two penalties to beat Levante UD at the Zorilla stadium (2-0). The Violet team is the only outfit at Primera that hasn’t conceded a goal yet.

Other five clubs have added four points in two matches; Atletico Madrid destroyed a broken Athletic Bilbao at the Calderón stadium (4-0) with the first hat-trick of the tournament (Falcao) and is now fourth at the standings. The Basques, meanwhile, are having their worst start in years having zero points and have already allowed nine goals, which put them at the bottom of the standings.

Deportivo has also added four points in the first two matchdays; on Sunday they returned two times from a two-goal difference and ended grabbing a point from Mestalla (3-3). Sevilla could only add a point visiting Granada CF (1-1), while Malaga CF drew at home against RCD Mallorca (1-1). These three clubs are also undefeated and already added four points.

There are four clubs that haven’t added any point in the first two matchdays: RCD Espanyol, RC Celta, CA Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao. Espanyol was leading 1-0 at home facing Real Zaragoza, but the Catalans ended losing 1-2 and taking into account last season they now drag a negative streak of five defeats within the last six liga meetings. A similar thing happened to Celta as they were defeating Real Sociedad on the road and ended losing 2-1.

All the interest will be focused in the visit of Valencia CF to the Camp Nou in order to face Barcelona FC; Los Ches already were a tough rival for Real Madrid and the match is promising to be interesting. Los Blancos, meanwhile, will try to add their first victory hosting Granada CF.

Deportivo is hosting Getafe CF at the Riazor, Los Azulones are reinforced after the victory over Madrid. RC Celta is hosting CA Osasuna in a match in which both sides are trying to pick up their first points. The other two leaders are facing tough meetings. Rayo Vallecano plays at home, but is hosting a tough opponent: Sevilla CF. And Real Valladolid is paying a visit to Athletic Bilbao, a desperate club trying to add the first points on the season.
