Transfer news

Deportivo still has the option to sign a new striker, though it seems complicated and improbable. At the same time the club is trying to hurry up the exits of Saul and Juan Carlos. Seoane and Jesús Vázquez are probably staying.

Last hours of the summer market in Europe and things are moving fast at some Spanish clubs, but it isn’t the case of Deportivo as it seems that nothing more will occur before the deadline. The transfer window closes its doors on Friday’s midnight, which means that Deportivo only has 48 hours in order to close the squad for the new season. At this point the pending subjects are the incorporation of a last striker and the exits of the players that won’t have too many minutes in case of staying at the team.

The arrival of the last signing –the striker- is now complicated; the club had selected Christian Stuani, but the agent of the Uruguayan changed everything at the last minute and ended signing a four-year deal with RCD Espanyol. Now Lendoiro only has 48 hours to complete this last incorporation and it seems unlike to occur.

It’s improbable, because the club has been searching for zero-cost transfers or loans, and it’s difficult to find somebody fulfilling this requirement and that at the same time can match Oltra’s expectations. Lassad was linked with a possible return, but Lendoiro won’t allow his return after his latest declarations.  In any case it has been reported that the club is making contacts and the media will probably speculate with names throughout Thursday and Friday.

The exits are also stuck; Rodolfo Bodipo and Jesús Vázquez will probably stay in order to complete the last year of their contracts, neither Diego Seoane will leave as he hasn’t accepted the renewal offers and the club won’t allow his departure without signing the extension.

For now the only two probable exits are Saul Fernandez and Juan Carlos: the winger has an agreement with Real Murcia and will try to cancel his contract in the coming hours, while the young playmaker is still linked with a loan exit to SD Huesca. In any case these two players need to hurry up the things if they want to leave before the deadline.
