The signing of Sílvio isn’t official yet as Atlético and Depor haven’t reached yet a final agreement for the loan of the player. Meanwhile new coach Domingos Paciência expects for more movements, including exits from the team.

Sílvio Azevedo is already in A Coruña and the defender passed the medicals on Thursday’s morning; however Deportivo haven’t released yet the official announcement of the operation as they were still pending to seal the loan agreement with Atlético Madrid. Nobody from the club gave a further explanation of what was delaying the signing.

For the moment the right-back isn’t training with the team, still it’s expected that the deal could be signed in the coming hours, though it’s improbable that he could enter into the list of picked players for Saturday’s match against Malaga CF.

Meanwhile it is commented that the next incorporation of Depor could be centre midfielder Paulo Assunção. The 32-year-old player is trying to cancel his contract with Brazilian outfit São Paulo and it is commented that he already has an offer coming from Deportivo. The club is also trying to hire a fourth centre-back, this in order to cover the departure of Roderick Miranda, so at least three signings are expected for the winter window.

New coach Domingos Paciência offered a press conference on Thursday after the training session at the Riazor and assured that the fans should expect for move moves during the winter window, ” Roderick has left the team and surely others will do it, because they aren’t happy as they aren’t playing, so more could leave the club.” He stated.

The exit of centre-back Roderick left the club with two available spots at the first team, so in order to allow the signing of Sílvio and the other two reinforcements the club must first open the door to at least one more player. The main name on the list of candidates to leave is left-back Tiago Pinto, who barely played for Oltra and who also seems to be out of the new coach’s plans.

Other players that could leave during the winter window are Diego Seoane and Fabril’s Juan Carlos, this last one loaned to a Segunda club. Right winger Saul Fernandez, striker Rodolfo Bodipo and centre midfielder Jesús Vázquez are also out of the club’s plans, but it’s improbable that they will find an exit; actually they didn’t leave during the summer despite the insistence coming from the club.
