Portuguese winger/striker Rudy will sign for Deportivo. The player is already in A Coruña and underwent the first part of the medicals on Monday. It seems to be a final transfer with the club owing part of the rights.

The news was released by La Voz de Galicia on Sunday´s night: Deportivo were close to sign Portuguese winger/striker Carlos Wilson Cachicote da Rocha "Rudy". The source claimed that Deportivo liked him for his skills to perform at both wings and at the centre of the attack, also that the operation was close to take place.

On Monday, the club itself confirmed that the player had undergone part of the medicals and that the second part of the tests were going to take place today. So, the operation could be official in the next hours after receiving the approval from the club’s administrators. It hasn’t been revealed the kind of operation that will allow his signing, but the 24-year-old player was living his last year of contract with Belgian side Cercle Brugge K.S.V.

The media in A Coruña was managing the option of a similar operation to the one of Bruno Gama, which means that Deportivo could only owe part of the rights and the other part would be owed by a football fund, which is Desportimedia, same agency that manages Barcelona’s Adriano and Valencia’s Ricardo Costa.

Cercle Brugge K.S.V. is a club from Bruges that ended at the last position of the 2012–13 Belgian Pro League, butt that avoided relegation thanks to the relegation playoff.  On that campaign Rudy played in 28 of the 30 matches of the regular season, though the half of the games were entering as a substitute. He scored three goals and provided six assists, normally performing as a second striker and sometimes as a right winger.
