Solid game of Deportivo B. It’s the first win after three straight draws. The team didn’t improve too much in attack, but finally found the goals to define the meetings. Bicho and Romay were the best players in the match.

Coach José Luis Devesa was missing Paulo Teles, who was concentrated with the first team for the tip to Catalonia.  Other important casualties were winger Óscar García and centre midfielder Ángel Fernández, striker Chiño and playmaker Álvaro Queijeiro, the four of them injured. The good thing is that Bicho was available after not been picked by the first team, while centre-back Róber was returning from a suspension.

The starting lineup was a 4-2-3-1 formation; David Gómez was defending the goal, Toni Insua stayed at the right side of the defense, Aarón performed on the left, Serbian Stefan Deák and Róber were the centre-backs, Sidibé and Adrián Martinez were the centre midfielders, Cañi played on the left wing, Jorge Romay was the playmaker, Bicho attacked from the right flank and Dani Iglesias was the central attacker.

The rival was Alondras CF, a team used to take part of the playoffs and that now is uncomfortably living inside the drop zone after only adding one of the previous fifteen points in dispute. The main references in attack were striker Abraham Sánchez and winger Carlos Campos.

The best game of Fabril after eight matchdays at Tercera; in previous meetings Los Blanquiazules were too thick in attack and had problems to create scoring opportunities. In this match they still were lacking fluency, but at least created more chances than before and, especially, seized a couple of those opportunities to win the game, all of this thanks to the guidance of Romay and Bicho, the latter participated in both goals.

The true is that Depor B didn’t feel comfortable in the first half; the pressure of the rival awoke the ghosts at Abegondo as the locals were having the usual problems to create scoring opportunities facing teams locked at the back. But in this opportunity Alondras CF turned to be an inoffensive team that never gave any problem to David Gómez, besides this time there was a factor to unclog the game: Bicho.

And it’s that the passes from the young playmaker were the missing link that Fabril were needing and he had a solid performance despite this time he played at the right wing and not on the left as it’s usual; at minute 16, Bicho invented a great pass from midfield to beat the offside trap and assist Dani Iglesias, who later drilled the ball into the path of captain Adrián Martinez, and he only had to push the ball in.

Alondras CF lost stamina and a lack of concentration was going to cost them the second goal; again Bicho was involved in the action as he provoked the foul that meant the free-kick perfectly executed by Cañi, the cross of the winger found Romay alone inside the area and he headed the ball in.

The visiting team, with the 2-0 in the scoresheet, fell down in the second part; they were too desperate and were no longer putting the same pressure of the first part.  So, Depor B felt more comfortable and should have scored more goals, but Toni Insua wasted another great pass of Bicho (48’) and later Dani Iglesias (52’) and Cañi (68’) missed the target from close range. In this half Romay was the best player with his guidance at midfield

Then Devesa ordered the first two substitutions and Quique Fornos and Marcos Remeseiro replaced Toni Insua and Dani Iglesias. The polemic play came at minute 78 as Romay was sent off with two yellow cards, the second for a very doubtful action in which the ball hit his hand.

Still, despite the numeric disadvantage, Depor B were more dangerous than Alondras CF within the last ten minutes, and it’s that the locals had two more chances to increase the lead, but Bicho (80’) and Cañi (82’) missed the target. The last modification came at the last minute as Álex Pérez replaced Aarón.

After three straight draws, Fabril returned to the winning ways as it seized the opportunities before a rival that only gave battle in the first half. Romay and Bicho were the best players in the game. The three points leave the team at the sixth position, only one point below the promotion zone and three points under surprising leader CD Boiro. On next weekend the youngsters visit Club Rápido de Bouzas
