Fernando Vázquez is finally recovering the injured players, to the point that only two men remain sidelined, though Marchena is doubtful due to a back problem. The rival is having problems at defense as three men are suspended.

It has been a week with mixed news for coach Fernando Vázquez; on Tuesday winger Antonio Núñez joined the trainings after been off since November 17 due to a grade-one muscle injury. He received the medical okay on Wednesday and is available for the visit to SD Eibar (Ipurúa, Sunday, 12h00 CET).

Then, on Thursday, attacker Javier Arizmendi joined the group after skipping the last game against Alavés due to a sciatica problem. It isn’t clear if he will be available for the weekend, but the fact that he’s already training with the rest of the group. At least it’s an indication that he’s evolving and that should be an option for the last game in 2013.

But there were also bad news; centre-back Carlos Marchena was suffering a back problem and left the training pitch on Wednesday. The doctors said that he should be fine for the weekend, but on Thursday he was still off. Neither Kaká trained on that day, though it wasn’t due to an injury, but for a personal issue. He should return on Friday and will surely be a starter on Sunday.

The doubt with Marchena creates a big problem at the centre of the defense, because Pablo Insua is suspended after picking a fifth yellow card in the last game played at the Riazor, which could lead to see Uxío Marcos playing for the second time in the league season.

Meanwhile, it was an atypical week for the Fabril’s players. The B team members that normally train with the first team spent more time at Depor B as there was a league game in midweek facing CD Dorneda. Only centre midfielder Paulo Teles remained training with the senior squad, which invites to think that he will be picked for Sunday’s match.

Uxío, winger Cañi, striker Dani Iglesias and keeper David Gómez played in midweek with Fabril and will join the trainings with the first team until Friday. The bad news is that playmaker Bicho picked an ankle sprain on Tuesday and will probably be sidelined for the weekend. The novelty was to see keeper Felipe Ramos training with the first team during Tuesday and Wednesday.

At SD Eibar, coach Gaizka Garitano is facing big problems at defense as he’s losing three regular starters due to a suspension.  Left-back Yuri Berchiche was sent off against SD Ponferradina , while right-back Manuel Castellano ‘Lillo’ and centre-back Raúl Albentosa picked a fifth yellow card on the season during the same game.

At least midfielder Diego Jiménez is already available after surpassing a hand fracture. The Basques are one of the surprises for this season as they currently lie at the sixth position, though they arrive to the meeting after losing the last two games: 0-1 Vs. RCD Mallorca and 1-2 at SD Ponferradina.
