Fernando Vázquez hasn’t defined any lineup for the game against CD Numancia; at least he hasn’t tested any specific draw during the trainings. The 4-4-2 and the 4-1-4-1 are the most probably draws for the last game of the year.

During the week coach Fernando Vázquez didn’t test any lineup ahead of the game against CD Numancia; he just tested some specific draws for some specific situations. As example playing with Carlos Marchena as a centre midfielder –it already happened in the Copa Del Rey meeting- against Real Jaén.

In this “experiment” the defensive line was composed by Laure and Manuel Pablo at the sides, while Kaká and Pablo Insua were the centre-backs. On Wednesday he also tested a formation with only three defenders (Laure-Insua-Kaká) a formation that can be used when the team needs to push upfront searching for goals.

Thursday’s training was a relaxation session for the players, so the coach will surely define the lineup for the game until Friday. It isn’t expected major surprises in the draw as the 4-4-2 and the 4-1-4-1 continue to be the preferred choices of the coach.

One sure thing is that Pablo Insua returns into contention after serving his match of suspension. The doubt of Javier Arizmendi will remain until Friday, though it isn’t probable that he will be a starter after all the precatory measures had within the last two weeks.

No matter the draw, the most probable thing is that the coach will opt in not presenting the same strategy of playing with four full-backs, which will allow the return of Juan Carlos Real after a solid presentation against Deportivo Alavés.

In case of playing with a 4-4-2 formation, Vázquez could opt in delaying the position of Luisinho in order to allow the appearance of Luis Fernández joining Borja Bastón in attack, a formula that was worthy for the last game played at the Riazor (2-1 win over Alavés).
