Winger Antonio Nez has extended his contract with Deportivo now lasting until the end of the season. It was confirmed by coach Fernando Vzquez on Monday as the first team returned to the training pitch.

Antonio Nez has signed an extension of contract lasting until the end of the season. The Madrilenian winger was signed under special circumstances; firstly it was made when the transfer window was already closed (September 12) and then because the deal was lasting until December 31. It was a special case approved by the Bankruptcy Administration as the club was already exceeding the salary cap rule.

In recent weeks president Lendoiro, coach Fernando Vzquez and the player himself expressed his will to extend deal, Nez even said that he would love a two-year extension.  In the end he signed the renewal lasting until the end of this season.  Fernando Vzquez announced the news on Monday before the training session and it was later reported by

The true is that the last three months hasnt been easy for the winger, he arrived late and skipped some games as the player was missing match fitness, and later a couple of physical problems, a Soleus and a muscular injury, sidelined him for some weeks. For this reason hes the second player of the first team with the lesser number of minutes in the league season (204), only above keeper Fabricio, who hasnt debuted yet in liga.

Nez has played in seven games of the Liga Adelante campaign and his first appearance as a starter came until the last game in 2013 during the 3-3 draw against CD Numancia. He left a positive impression and provided the assist in the second goal in the match.
