Deportivo B returned to winning ways after seven matchdays mixing draws and defeats; the rival was the last place at the standings. Romay returned as was one of the best players in the match. Chiño scored his first goal at Fabril.

Coach José Luis Devesa had several casualties due to injury reasons. Bicho, Sidibé, Aarón, Adrián Martinez and Iago Beceiro were all out for this game. At the same time Jorge Romay was returning after serving a 4-match suspension. Paulo Teles was also available after not been picked by the first team.

The draw was a 4-2-3-1. David Gómez was the starting goalie, Toni Insua performed at the right side of the defense, Callón did it on the left, while Róber and Uxío were the centre-backs, Ángel Fernández and Teles were the centre midfielders, Cañi attacked from the right wing, Marcos Remeseiro did it from the left, Romay was the playmaker, while Dani Iglesias was the central attacker.

The rival was SD Grixoa, the last place at Tercera División after only adding one victory in the whole first round. New coach Javier Oreiro was having big problems as he lost playmaker Iker Hurtado and midfielder Diego Fernández, duo that left the club due to financial problems. Besides, midfielder Peke and defender Miguel Chenel were out injured.

Big win for Deportivo B, but not impressive. Fabril had the ball possession, but it barely created scoring opportunities within the first thirty minutes. The worst team in the league gave problems at the beginning of the meeting and fell down in the second part after allowing the second goal. Still, it’s a great result to begin the year, especially after spending seven straight games without adding the victory.

Despite having the ball possession Depor B didn’t create any harm on the first half an hour; actually it was Grixoa the side closer to score, first through Fofana Aboubacar ‘Buba’ (12’) and then with David Nogueira (18’), but both missed thanks to the saves of David Gómez. The first scoring chance for the locals came at minute 25 with a long-range attempt of Ángel that missed the target.

The game was turning to be boring, but then Depor B scored the first goal. Teles released a long pass into the path of Romay and the playmaker drilled the ball to just see Dani Iglesias pushing the ball in from close range. It’s his third goal in the league.

There was no reaction by SD Grixoa, neither in the remaining minutes in the first part nor in the whole second half. Fabril scored the second goal early in the second part, Romay showed up again to make an accurate pass to Tino Insua and then the right-back drilled the ball into the box to see Jesús Cañizares ‘Cañi’ scoring his fifth goal on the season.

Romay and Cañi were the best players in the game, the first was involved in the first two goals. The true is that the second goal killed the game, because SD Grixoa gave up, while Depor B faced placidly the last 35 minutes.

Still, Fabril had enough chances to score the third goal; Dani Iglesias was pretty active in this part of the game, at minute 64 there was a possible penalty over the striker and ten minutes later he headed out a new cross by Toni Insua.

Without tension Devesa used this frame in the clash to make the changes. Marcos Remeseiro replaced Callón in a new attempt to perform with an offensive full-back, the next change was the entry of striker José Joaquín Bertua 'Chiño' replacing midfielder Teles.

And it was Chiño who scored the third goal after capitalizing a cross by Cañi and a rebound from the previous attempt. It’s the first goal on the season for 19-year-old player promoted from Juvenil A. With the game decided Devesa ordered the third modification and Stefan Deák replaced Romay. Fabril even had the chance to score the fourth goal, but the direct free-kick of Queijeiro passed inches away from the far post (88’).

Deportivo B broke a negative streak of seven straight games winless beating the worst team at Tercera. The team had problems at the beginning of the encounter, but by minute 55 everything was already decided. Romay and Cañi were the best players in the meeting. Fabril remain far from the promotion seats and on next weekend they visit Cultural Areas, another side in relegation.
