The second signing for the season 2014/15 is Isaac Cuenca. The winger cancelled his contract with FC Barcelona on Thursday’s evening and hours later it was confirmed by Deportivo. He signs for one season.

Isaac Cuenca signed for Deportivo on Thursday. The winger was one of the petitions of former coach Fernando Vázquez, but his exit didn’t stop the negotiations for the player. Actually, it was reported since last week that the 23-year-old player already had a verbal agreement with Depor and that the only pending subject was to cancel his contract with FC Barcelona.

That cancellation occurred on Thursday’s evening and hours later Deportivo announced the signing as the player underwent the medicals in Barcelona. He’s signing a one-year contract.  He can perform at both wings and arrives to Depor as the second confirmed signing after the arrival of left-back Roberto Canella.

Cuenca was one of the wonder kids promoted by Pep Guardiola at FC Barcelona; his season 2011/12 was so great that, at the age of 20, he signed a contract extension lasting until 2015 having a release clause of €20 million. However he later suffered two serious injuries that blocked his progress. He’s already recovered and now the player needs to regain his old form.
