C?©sar Delgado was mentioned as a possible reinforcement during the past summer market, now he has been mentioned again as a possible target in December. The Argentinean striker has admitted that Deportivo presented an offer for him, and he is saying that the Spanish football is something that interests him.

Caparr??s admitted a couple of weeks ago that his club was close to signing a non-communitary player in the last transfer market, the Sevillan coach said that this was the main reason to discard Gustavo Mun??a during the pre-season, but the operation wasn't fulfilled and Mun??a continued in his roll of second keeper.

Now it's clear that the non-communitary player that Depor wanted is C?©sar Delgado (25). The Argentinean striker confessed to Mexican newspaper La Jornada that Deportivo presented a offer for him during the past weeks: "There's an interest for me, I don't know the amount, I just know that it's less than the €9 million reported previously."

'Chelito' Delgado also said that he will like to play in Europe, but that this possibility isn't disturbing him: "I'm very happy in Cruz Azul, and to go out in the middle of the tournament (torneo Apertura) will be an ugly thing. I really want to play in Europe, but right now it isn't a priority for me."

Knowing about the interest of Depor in the Argentinean player, sportpaper AS spoke to Delgado through phone about the issue, this time Delgado said that he could negotiate with Depor in December: "It's a good possibility to be playing for Depor. I am proud just to know that they are thinking about me. I heard about the interest of Depor in me, but I have not spoken with them. I hope to travel to Spain in December, I will negotiate my future then. If not I will have to wait until June."

Precisely, Delgado ends his contract with Cruz Azul in June of 2007. Depor could try to secure his incorporation since that date, meaning that no payment will have to be done for his services. 'Chelito' could be the striker that Caparr??s has been looking for, however he admitted to AS that he isn't a striker: "I consider myself as a right winger, I like to play in diagonals. But I also enjoy to perform on the centre, to move all over the attacking zone."

The Argentinean has been considered as the 'soul' of Cruz Azul since his arrival in 2003. He scored 18 goals on the past season (torneo Clausura 2006 and Apertura 2005) and has been called up to Argentina's national team in a couple of occasions, including the Confederations Cup, he played nine minutes in the final confrontation against Brazil. Delgado suffered a knee injury before the World Cup and he missed the event. His current bad shape is one of the reasons for the fall of Cruz Azul. Los Cementeros accumulates five matches without a victory including four defeats. Delgado has scored two goals in five games during the current Torneo Apertura 2006.

Sportpaper Marca reported that the club is near to sign a new young player for Fabril: Sergio Benito. He is a 18-year-old defender that's coming from M?©rida UD. The Galicians are offering €60,000 for him plus incentives like a friendly match during the present season. M?©rida's president, Jos?© Fouto Galv??n, has traveled to La Coru?±a and it seems that he will close the operation with Lendoiro during the next hours. Benito will reinforce the defensive line of Fabril, the coach Tito Ramallo said previously that his team would be needing new players in order to face the new season.

Coach Joaqu?n Caparr??s will continue to test his players with local friendlies. This time the rival is Laracha (20h30). A club from Tercera. The Sevillan coach has called 14 players for the occasion: Mun??a, Fabricio, Manuel Pablo, Rodri, Juanma, Filipe, Duscher, De Guzm??n, Estoyanoff, Verd??, Iago, Bodipo, Adri??n L??pez and the Depor C striker Juan Dom?nguez.
