LEMOS WILL PLAY AT SD COMPOSTELA

22 Jul 2014
Álvaro Lemos will play loaned at SD Compostela during the season 2014/15. The winger suffered a serious knee injury during the past pre-season and barely played with Depor B. Now he searches for minutes at Segunda B.

The dynamic duo of Fabril will play out of Deportivo during the season 2014/15, though not too far from Abegondo; first it was the exit of Luis Fernández to Segunda club CD Lugo and on Monday it was confirmed that Álvaro Lemos will play loaned at Segunda B outfit SD Compostela.

Lemos was going to be promoted to the first team on last season, but a serious knee injury sustained during the pre-season stage left him sidelined for seven months. He returned in February and trained with the first team, but never had the chance to play with Fernando Vázquez and his season was reduced to eight appearances with Depor B.

The promotion of the first team to Primera División is leaving him without too many chances to gain minutes and the club didn’t want to keep him at Tercera as the winger needs new challenges, in this way a loan spell was negotiated with SD Compostela, club that initially will fight for the permanence after a solid work on the previous season.

The move was announced on Monday and the 21-year-old player is training with the team since the same day. SD Compostela will compete at group 1 of Segunda B. Last season they ended 13th at the standings, only five points above the relegation zone.
