On Thursday, the RFEF and La Liga made the draw for the league tournament 2014-15. Deportivo begin the season on the road and also end the season away from the Riazor. The first derby will be played in Balaídos on matchday 05.

On Thursday the Spanish Football Federation and La Liga made the draw for the calendar 2014/15. President Tino Fernández represented Deportivo during the event. The fixture of 38 matchdays will last nine months starting on Aug 24/2014 and ending on May 24/2015. The main characteristic on this league campaign is that Depor face the rivals that on the previous matchday are meeting Atlético Madrid.

Deportivo begin the league season visiting Granada CF playing at Los Cármenes stadium. The first game against one of the big ones is arriving quickly as Real Madrid visit the Riazor on matchday 04 (Sept 21). And three days later Víctor Fernández’s team faces the first Galician derby in liga visiting Balaídos.

Valencia CF visit the Riazor on matchday 08 (Oct 19); only once Depor face consecutive games facing European teams. It will be the meetings against Real Sociedad and current champions Atlético Madrid (matchdays 12-13 & matchdays 31-32). And Depor end the league facing FC Barcelona; the Catalans visit the Riazor on matchday 19 (Jan 18), while the Blanquiazul outfit has to visit the Camp Nou in the last game of the season (May 27).

The reactions from the first team in Colombia were diverse. Lopo was looking to the last games, ”The end of liga is very complicated, but we cannot say we already lost those meetings. Let’s hope everything will be sorted by then.”

Meanwhile, Laure was looking to the first matches, ”It’s clear that we need to start strongly, because we are facing teams from our league.”. Same were the thoughts of Toché, ”We have more accessible games at the beginning and it’s very important to start in the best possible way. I believe it’s positive.”
