Tino Fernández calculates that the club will make 4 or 5 more signings, while Víctor Fernández said that 6. At least Depor need four more arrivals: two centre-backs, a centre midfielder and a striker.

Last week coach Víctor Fernández calculated the number of pending signing between nine and ten, it seemed a lot considering the current first team is composed by 22 players. So a high number of signings will lead to a large number of exits, something that’s really difficult to happen.

But on this week this subject was clarified. First president Tino Fernández said during the presentations of the last four additions that the club will make four or five more signings, and one day later Víctor said that he expects for six. The true is that Deportivo at least need four more additions in order to close the squad: two centre-backs, a centre midfielder and a striker

During the weekend La Voz de Galicia published a list of four candidates for the centre of the defense: Tiago Ilori (21, FC Liverpool), Chico Flores (27, Swansea City), Alejandro Arribas (25, free agent) & Abdoulaye Ba (23, FC Porto). Arribas signed for Sevilla CF on this week. In England it has been reported that Depor were already negotiating the loan of Ilori with FC Liverpool, but the Reds want to see Deportivo paying the full wages of the player (around 3 million Euros).

About the centre midfielder, Depor are still waiting to define the situation with Bruno Zuculini (21, Manchester City FC). The Citizens return during the weekend from their American tour and at that point they will announce the name of the club where the Argentine young man is going to be loaned. Valencia CF are also pushing to get the player and in case of failing Depor could end up signing Eyong Enoh (28, free agent).

It is understand that Zuculini is one of the two player that Víctor Fernández referred as operations that were going to last twenty days before been closed. The other is a forward. About the latter, there are no names yet coming out in the media.
