The highly anticipated last five/six arrivals need some room, so up to five players could be forced to leave. From the expected exits of Arizmendi and Rudy, to the cases of Juan Carlos, Wilk and even Borja Bastón.

A lot of expectation among the fans on what Deportivo are going to sign on this week. The club is targeting five or six more arrivals; coach Víctor Fernández said on Saturday that good news are expected to arrive soon and that it should please the fans.

But the club must also allow exits. The first team is currently composed by 22 players, so if the Galician outfit is going to hire more men then it also must allow the departure of other players. Depending in the final number of arrivals the number of departures could reach the five. And the main candidates to leave are:

1- Javier Arizmendi: One of the first signings on last season was already out of the plans at the moment of closing the winter window. The Madrilenian only played two officials games in 2014 and, taking in mind that the club is targeting to get two centre forwards, he’s the first name on the list after considering his high wages.

According to La Voz de Galicia he earned €500,000 at Segunda and the promotion raised his wages to €700,000. His contract last until 2015. During the weekend the agent of the player, Manuel García Quilón, told to La Opinión A Coruña that no one from the club has talked to him and invited to make an offer if they really want to see the player leaving.

2- Rudy: Another signing of last season that never grew up. The Portuguese winger was loaned for the last part of the season and, with the club signing wingers, he’s not part of the plans. Depor want to rescind his contract (lasting until 2015), but it’s complex as there are several parties involved (40% of the player’s right belong to Deportivo; 10% belongs to Belgian club Cercle Brugge K.S.V. and the remaining 50% to the player).

3- Cezary Wilk: The Polish midfielder became a normal starter at the beginning of last season, but his luck changed after a toe fracture. Víctor Fernández prefers other profile of midfielder and, if the arrivals of two new players for this positon are confirmed, then Wilk will surely leave. His contract ends in 2015 and isn’t among the best paid players at the team, but won’t be easy to see a Segunda club matching his wages; actually La Voz de Galicia reported that Deportivo Alavés made an approach to him, but that the offer didn’t reach the half of his salary.

4- Juan Carlos Real: Víctor Fernández is happy with him, but believe the playmaker needs to make a step forward before been a normal starter at Primera División, so the coach prefers to see him going out loaned. It’s commented that CD Lugo would welcome him, though his agency is searching for another destiny.

5- Borja Bastón: The Pichichi from last season could end leaving Deportivo, but it won’t happen unless Depor sign two more strikers. It’s understand that the sixth signing targeted by Depor is a striker and it will depend on the situation with the salary cap, something that also depends on the cost of the exits. It’s a complex case that has several assumptions, and that without considering the complex two-year deal that brought him to Depor coming from Atlético Madrid. Real Zaragoza showed interest on him.
