Depor’s coach talked after the Teresa Herrera and explained the ongoing negotiations in the transfer window; he said that Wilk is staying, while he hopes that the squad can be closed during this week.

Coach Víctor Fernández offered a press conference after the 1-0 win over Sporting Gijón; he clarified some issues regarding the transfer window. First to all he is hoping to close the squad on this week and once again he announced important news for the coming days.

“I haven’t lose the patience yet. I believe there will be news soon and it will be important news, which is what I like. We cannot lose the calm. We know what we want; we know where they are and we need the last push to end a lot of negotiations that are already advanced. We need players in order to balance the group. I hope that on this week we can close the squad.” He said.

In past weeks the media included the name of Cezary Wilk in the list of players going out of the team ahead of the new season, this since the club was searching to hire two new centre midfielders. However, the Aragonian coach said on Sunday that the Polish player is staying at Deportivo.

“I never said anything in public of Wilk and neither did it with any other player. What do you ask me of Wilk? That if he will continue? He would never go out. I never said that Wilk is going out of the team. He’s a player of Depor and I can tell you that he isn’t going out.” He explained.

Finally, On Saturday the media informed that Portuguese centre-back Henrique Sereno have rescinded his contract with Kayserispor, so his arrival to Depor was described as imminent, even it was commented the player was going to make the medicals on Monday, but Víctor explained on Sunday that the arrival of the third centre-back is going to take more time, “I believe it will last a lot of days.” He said after been asked if a centre-back was going to arrive on Monday.
