Lucas Pérez and Cezary Wilk are the novelties for the game at the Sánchez Pizjúan, Víctor Fernández will change the draw and has the options of the 4-3-3 and also to play with three centre-backs.

Deportivo traveled to Seville on Friday’s night, it did it two days before the game against Sevilla CF and will complete a last training session at the sporting city of the Andalusian club. Coach Víctor Fernández had two new casualties for the game: striker Hélder Postiga and winger Isaac Cuenca.

And he decided to fill up the gaps with two players that haven’t been part of the plans in the previous six matchdays: winger/playmaker Lucas Pérez and centre midfielder Cezary Wilk. Centre-back Pablo Insua was also available, but the coach decided to leave him in A Coruña as he already had available the other three centre defenders.

The presence of Lucas is a surprise as it was expected he was going to receive the medical okay to play until next week, but the doctors and the coach changed their minds after watching the player during the last two training sessions. It’s probable that he could have his first minutes at the end of the game.

The lack of offensive players is moving the coach to switch the 4-2-3-1 used in the most recent meetings, though in the last trainings he didn’t give a clear picture of what is going to happen as he tested several draws. In any case it’s expected that the final decision will be made on Saturday and the main options are to return to the 4-3-3 or a more defensive 5-3-2.

The 4-3-3 presents a trident at midfield with José Rodríguez, Haris Medunjanin and Álex Bergantiños, while the doubt is who will perform on the left wing, the options are José Fariña and Iván Cavaleiro. Finally, Toché performs at the centre of the attack.

In the case of the 5-3-2, Modibo Diakité joins Sidnei Rechel and Albert Lopo at the centre of the defense. There are also novelties at the sides as in this scheme Juanfran and Roberto Canella are the fullbacks. The trident at midfield is the same of the other draw, while Fariña and Toché perform at the centre of the attack.

Picked players for the game in Seville:
Goalkeepers: Lux & Fabricio
Defenders: Laure, Manuel Pablo, Juanfran, Lopo, Sidnei, Diakité, Luisinho & Canella
Midfielders: Álex Bergantiños, José Rodríguez, Medunjanin, Wilk, Fariña & Lucas Pérez
Attackers: Cavaleiro & Toché
