Alejandro Arribas is the third signing for Deportivo ahead of the season 2015/16. The centre-back signs a 3+1 contract with the club and comes for free after canceling his contract with Sevilla CF.

The third signing for the season 2015/16 is Alejandro Arribas. The 26-year-old centre-back is coming for free from Sevilla CF and signs a three-year deal with the Galician club having the option of a fourth additional season in case of playing a certain number of games in the third year.

The Madrilenian defender arrived on Friday to A Coruña and passed the medicals. His signing for Depor was on the spotlight since Wednesday, though a last-minute interest from other clubs like Málaga CF delayed the final signing, plus the fact that the player received the green light to leave Sevilla until Thursday’s night.

Before completing the medicals, Arribas talked to reporters and said that, “I’m thankful for the interest they put on me, since the first day my intention was to come here. I know there’s competence, but I’m coming in order to make a big project and hopefully I will be able to play a lot of games.”

Deportivo is a great club, they have a fantastic history and we are trying to make a project that, sort or less, is new. We want things to be fine and that we can suffer less than last year. I’m finally in A Coruña and I’m willing to start working.” He added.

Arribas is the third official signing of Deportivo after the arrivals of left-backs Saúl García and Fernando Navarro. The club also completed the renewals of centre midfielder Juan Dominguez and right-back Manuel Pablo.
