Despite the overbooking at midfield, Deportivo are interested in the signing of French Fayçal Fajir. He would arrive in similar terms than Pablo Mosquera.

The problems at Elche CF have opened the chance to Deportivo to get reinforcements; if last week the Galicians completed the signing of Pedro Mosquera, now they are interested in another midfielder from the Valencian team: Fayçal Fajir.

Fajir is 26, his family is coming from Morocco, but he was born in France. He can perform as a centre midfielder, as a playmaker or as a winger. Last season he made 34 Primera appearances with Elche CF (2,568 minutes) scoring one goal and giving four assists.

His situation is similar to the one of Pedro Mosquera, the Frenchman has a clause in his contract that allows him to go out loaned to any Primera club matching his wages. But, as it happened in the case with Mosquera, Depor are attempting to sign him for free in case the player is able to rescind his contract.

According to several papers like Marca, Deportivo presented an offer to the player and he told Pedro Mosquera that he’s willing to join him at Depor. The recent signing of Depor told to Radio Galega that it is a possible option, “I talked with him and there are possibilities; he plays more as a playmaker or as a winger; the true is that he is a great player and if he comes then surely would bring a lot of things. I love how he plays.” He said

It still to be seen the position in which Víctor would use Fayçal in case the signing is completed. There aren’t too many natural wingers at the team, but there’s an overbooking for the pivote functions as there are six players that can perform there: Álex Bergantiños, Juan Domínguez, Sergio Teles, Cani, Medunjanin and Celso Borges.
