Deportivo have almost closed the first squad in the last week of the transfer window. The team already has 24 players and is only pending to define a final signing plus a couple of exits.

The summer window will close its doors on Monday and Deportivo have almost completed the first squad. The thirteen signings made so far have raised the number of players to 24. Coach Víctor Sánchez was projecting a squad with 22-23 players, so it’s close to fulfill the parameters as there are a couple of moves pending to be made.

One more signing is expected and it should be a player for the left wing. The team is missing a natural player for this position and the main candidate to fulfill the spot is Diogo Salomão. The Portuguese hasn’t rescinded his contract with Sporting CP and the club will welcome his return, though it seems there are other options.

At least one more exit will take place and it should be Saúl García. The left-back should be loaned to a Segunda club as the coach already told him that he won’t have too many minutes on this season. Two players that were with Depor B on last season, Álvaro Queijeiro and Miguel Cardoso, are also set to go out loaned in order to gain experience.

Haris Medunjanin remain to be a major doubt. He was suspended for the opening matchday, but Víctor stated before the game that the Bosnia was also out for tactical reasons, so the midfielder could also leave in the coming days.
