Víctor recovers all his injured players ahead of a week with three matches, even Manuel Pablo is fine, though lacking match fitness. Sporting also arrive to the game without major concerns.

It was a short week for Deportivo after playing on Monday at Vallecas, only five training sessions will be completed before the home clash against Sporting Gijón (Riazor, Sunday, 16h00 CET). Even the weather conditions haven’t been the proper ones to prepare a game.

The team landed on Tuesday from the trip to Madrid and went immediately to the training pitch despite the heavy storm that was affecting Galicia. Despite the adversities everything seems to be perfect for coach Víctor Sánchez, this since he’s recovering the four players that were staying at the injury room.

Goalkeeper Fabricio (knee), right-back Manuel Pablo and striker Oriol Riera (both hamstring) joined the group on Tuesday, while midfielder Cani (thigh) did it on Thursday, though he only completed the first part of the session. The doctors will decide on Friday if these four men will receive the medical okay to play, but they are ready for the coach, always having in mind that Manuel Pablo is lacking match fitness after skipping the full pre-season.

These are good news taking in mind that next week the team has to play three games in a matter of eight days, on Thursday the team has to visit Real Betis and on Sunday it will be welcoming RCD Espanyol at the Riazor. So, the coach will be able to make rotations if he considers to rotate the team.

At Real Sporting, the team coached by Abelardo has left a positive impression in this start of season despite been one of the three teams that remains scoreless, but it’s also true that they only conceded one goal –in stoppage time- playing against Real Madrid, Real Sociedad and Valencia CF.

There are no fresh injuries at the team. Centre-back Luis Hernández was dragging muscle problems and trained apart during the week, but should be available for Sunday. The only casualty at the team is centre midfielder Álex Barrera, who suffered an ACL injury back in February during a Segunda game against CD Mirandés. He has spent seven months on the sidelines and is currently training apart.
