The winter transfer window closes its doors on next week and Deportivo could make one more move in the market, it’s the exit of Medunjanin, who could end up at the MLS.

It has been a quiet transfer window for Deportivo, the results in liga aren’t pushing the club to reinforce the squad and the only signing that has been made was an emergency case caused by the surgery of Fabricio Agosto. In this way Stipe Pletikosa joined Depor and Víctor has now the three keepers that he likes to have for the away matches.

President Tino Fernández said during the presentation of the Croatian keeper that the club is always open to opportunities and therefore it cannot be ruled out the option of more signings, however it isn’t expected that Deportivo will sign more players during the transfer window.

It’s more likely that the club will end up allowing at least one more exit due to the large squad (25 inscribed players) and as the team is already eliminated from Copa Del Rey, which means less minutes for the players. Left-back Saúl García was loaned to CD Tenerife in which is the only exit that has been closed.

The main candidate to leave is Hairs Medunjanin.  The Bosnian midfielder s not happy as he hasn’t played any minute in liga and his participation has been reduced to a handful number of minutes in Copa, he was even out of the roster for the last game against CD Mirandés.

It is known that the player was pretended by several Segunda clubs, including RCD Mallorca, but the media in A Coruña informed that he isn’t interested in playing at Segunda and could end up moving to the MLS as the midfielder negotiates the cancelation of his contract.

The three players with less minutes in liga has been also linked with a possible exit: right winger Jonás Gutiérrez (265), centre midfielder Juan Dominguez (185) and left winger Miguel Cardoso (41), but it isn’t probable that they could leave.

Jonas was linked with a move to Paraguay, but Tino Fernández told to reporters two weeks ago that it was not true. Juan Dominguez was linked too with RCD Mallorca, but Depor won’t allow his exit if Medunjanin leaves, while several Segunda clubs were interested in the loan of Cardoso, but Víctor won’t allow it as he thinks the Portuguese lad could be an important asset during the rest of the season.
