Sidnei is finally back, though it isn’t certain if he will be available for the Galician derby. At RC Celta, Iago Aspas is also back and should be fit to play against Deportivo.

Deportivo returned from the break in liga and found out the Galician derby against RC Celta, which will be played on Saturday (Balaidos, 22h05 CET). After the last win over Levante UD things are calm in A Coruña, something that gives room to the squad to face the game with a renewed hope and also with the knowledge that no matter what the result is, the salvation remains at reach.

All eyes continue to be upon Sidnei Rechel, the Brazilian centre-back joined the group on Tuesday, but it remains to be unclear if he will be fit to play after been out for a month due to a muscle problem. Coach Víctor Sánchez will decide until Friday if he will be included into the roster.

Meanwhile, Stipe Pletikosa already surpassed his knee injury, while Alejandro Arribas and Fede Cartabia are fine from their knocks, which means that for now the only players out of the derby are goalkeeper Fabricio Agosto (knee) and right-back Manuel Pablo (muscle). Cani didn’t train on Wednesday due to a knee problem that will be monitored in the coming hours.

Also to remember that the two players in international action, Celso Borges (Costa Rica) and Fayçal Fajr (Morocco), will join the team later. Fajr didn’t play any minute with his team and will train tomorrow with the squad, while the centre midfielder will arrive until Friday after playing 90 in both games against Jamaica.

At RC Celta, coach Eduardo Berizzo has been boosted by the return of Iago Aspas, the top-scorer of the team was dragging a muscle injury sustained two weeks ago and was doubtful for the derby, but is training with the team since Tuesday and will be fit to start.

However, Berizzo has other two problems. The first is the large number of international players at his squad, because he only had nine men for the first two sessions. Some of them, like striker Nolito, joined the group on Tuesday, while up to three men will arrive until Thursday (Guidetti, Wass and Beauvue) and Chilean Fabián Orellana will do it until Friday.

The other problem is located at midfield, because two of the three players that are currently injured are centre midfielders: Tucu Hernández and Marcelo Díaz. The Chilean duo won’t be available for the derby, Hernández due to a knee sprain, while Díaz sustained a muscle injury with the national team of Chile. The other player out injured is centre-back Andreu Fontàs, who will no longer play on this season due to an Achilles injury.
