Deportivo announced the third signing for the season 2016/17. Itís 23-year-old Borja Valle, a winger/striker that signs a three-year contract coming for free from Real Oviedo.

Borja Valle Balonga was announced as a new Deporís player during Tuesdayís night. The Ponferrada-born attacker is signing a three-year contract with the Galicians after ending his link with Segunda Club Real Oviedo.

Borja Valle is 23 (he will turn 24 at the beginning of July). He debuted with SD Ponferradina and fluctuated between Segunda B and Segunda, later he was signed by RC Celta and performed for the B team at Segunda B scoring a goal in 13 appearances.

Then the Ponferrada-born player signed for CD Ourense and had a positive stage scoring 10 goals in 64 Segunda B matches. For the campaign 2014/15 he signed a one-year contract for Real Oviedo and his 9 goals in 21 matches with the Asturians helped to conquer the promotion to Segunda A.

Valleís good season opened the door to a one-year renewal and last season he scored 6 goals in 29 appearances at Liga Adelante (plus two assists). He didnít participate in more games due to a series of injuries (ankle, knee and back), besides there was tension as he didnít want to renew his contract and it was rumoured that the injuries were only an excuse to not give him more matches.

Heís right footed and started his career as a centre forward, but at Real Oviedo he performed as a left winger and at times as a playmaker or right winger, thatís why his number of goals hasnít been impressive. In the season that has just ended he only made 13 crosses (he made more shots on target, 19), but ended with a respectful 80% pass accuracy.

Valle is the third signing of Deportivo ahead of the season 2016/17. Previously the club secured the arrival of winger Bruno Gama and centre midfielder Emre «olak, both are also zero-cost transfers.
