Big scores at Primera División in which became into one of the matchdays with more goals in the history of the competition. Three clubs remain undefeated and Granada CF is the only winless club.

44 goals were scored in matchday 08, the highest number on this season and the sixth highest in the history of Primera División (the highest is the 59 goals on matchday 2 of the campaign 1950/51). The reason for the rain of goals were the high scores in four matches as four teams won by at least a 4-goal difference, while in other three games there was a 3-2 score.

Three clubs remain undefeated, leaders Atlético Madrid crushed last place Granada CF with a 7-1 score. Real Madrid also remain undefeated and also crushed its rival: 1-6 visiting Real Betis. The trio of clubs that haven’t lost yet is completed with Villarreal CF, side that defeated RC Celta at El Madrigal (5-0).

Other two clubs in a good run are FC Barcelona and Sevilla CF; the Catalans didn’t face any problem hosting Deportivo and dispatched them with a 4-0 score. Meanwhile the Andalusians suffered to overcome CD Leganés, but managed to get a 2-3 victory on the road. This is their first away win in more than a year.

Athletic Club kept to the sixth position after a 3-2 win in the Basque derby before Real Sociedad. Los Rojiblancos started losing the game, but managed to score three times before the final goal of Iñigo Martínez.

Granada CF remain as the last place and also as the only club that hasn’t won yet, this after CA Osasuna managed to defeat SD Eibar on the road (2-3). Sporting Gijón enters the drop zone after been defeated by Valencia CF at home (1-2).

Finally, there were only two draws in the matchday, a 1-1 between Deportivo Alavés and Málaga CF, while the only game without goals in this matchday was the 0-0 of UD Las Palmas hosting RCD Espanyol.

There are interesting games in this matchday, the Galician derby with RC Celta hosting Deportivo calls the attention, also some tough meetings for the leaders with Atlético Madrid visiting Sevilla CF, FC Barcelona doing the same with Valencia CF and Real Madrid hosting Athletic Club.
