Depor’s coach didn’t give further explanations for leaving Çolak out of the game, while Albentosa and Fajr were feeling sorry for the big score.

Coach Gaizka Garitano was saying that the final score was deceiving, “It’s a very tough day for us. We lost the derby 4-1. We need to valorise the game, we started badly, within the first ten or twenty minutes. Since then we improved until been better than the rival in the rest of the first part. It also happened at the start of the second half, with the exception of the first five minutes. Until the 2-1, I believe we weren’t less than Celta, so in a general sense the 4-1 isn’t a reflection of what happened on the field.”

“With the exception of the first five minutes, the team was better and playing in the attacking half. The play of the penalty was a pity, since then Celta had enough chances to end winning 4-1, but if I must make a reading of the game it isn’t a game for a 4-1.” He added.

He was also saying that the quality in offense at both teams is what defined the game, “What’s also true is that they are determinant inside the area, the level of the players from midfield to attack cannot be compared with us. We need several arrivals to have a chance, and they only a few. It was the difference.”

The Basque man was asked about the reason why Çolak and Arribas were left out of the game, and he responded that, “I believe the team did what it had to do during big part of the game. What happens is that we have difficulties to score goals, if it wasn’t for the set-pieces it would be impossible. It’s like this and we need to improve.”

Raúl Albentosa commented that, “The game was disputed until the 2-1, and with three flashes they punished us hardly. We are screwed after the game because we knew the importance in a sentimental sense and also for the situation at the standings, it is going to be a complicate week, but we must look forward, to the game at Valencia. “

“We knew the importance of the game; it was more than three points. It’s a long run and we know that we need to push. We are screwed as any fan for not winning the derby. They scored through two flashes after the second goal and in the end, it was decided by the quality of the rival.” The centre-back added.

Similar was the speech of Fayçal Fajr, “It was too hard. In the end, we wanted to collect something from Balaídos, but we return with a tough defeat. I believe we made a solid job in the last 30 minutes of the first half, and entered fine for the second part. We didn’t have chances, but were fine. In the end, they whistled a penalty and it happened what it happened. Time to work on next week and think of Valencia’s game.”

“These are things in football. We were fine and the penalty changed the game. I feel sorry for the fans at the stadium and the people in A Coruña, because it is a different game. We must forget. We are a team and must stay together. It’s tough for the fans, I feel sorry for them and want to play a game at home and work hard. I feel sorry.” The Moroccan player added.

At RC Celta, Eduardo Berizzo was satisfied with the victory and admitted that the score was deceiving, “It was a great day. The 4-1 was too much punishment for Depor. The score is big, but our strength in attack works like this, we are a fast team, very precise at times. It was a hard-worked victory, a victory of 25 men, not only 11. The people outside the game also won it, because the environment at the changing room allowed this balance to end winning.”

The big hero for Los Celestes was Iago Aspas with his brace, he commented that, “It is one of the happier days in my career, these three points put us back among the first eight places. We were outplaced after their goal and in the second part we found that penalty, since then everything rolled in our favour.”

He was criticized for celebrating the goals before Depor’s fans, and he apologized for it, “If someone felt offended for celebrating it in that way, then I ask apologies. But I was standing there just like in any other home game. We were at 180 heart rates, I was searching for the victory and the fans’ emotions. We cannot be mad about it.”
