Beşiktaş JK announced on Monday the signing of Ryan Babel, the Dutchman leaves a hole at Deportivo after been the second-best score during the current season.

Since the end of December it was clear that Ryan Babel was exchanging Deportivo for Beşiktaş JK, but it was official until Monday as the Turkish club announced his signing for the next two and a half seasons. The striker was already adapted at Depor, but in his last press conference in A Coruña he told to reporters that he wasn’t feeling comfortable as his family wasn’t living with him,

However, his family won’t be staying with him for his stage in Istanbul, instead the player seems to have been convinced by the big offer of the Black Eagles, which is for €1.2 million for the rest of this season, plus €2.1 million for each of the next two campaigns.

The now former Depor’s player expressed his satisfaction during his presentation, “I know a lot the football of Turkey and I know it’s a league under development. I am happy for joining a club with so much quality, it’s going to be a big opportunity in my career. There was no doubt in my head when my agent was contacted by the club, I had to come here.”

Babel is leaving a big hole at Deportivo, he arrived out of shape and as the backup of Joselu and left been the second-best scorer at the team. After eleven presentations, he scored four goals and provided an assist, three of those goals and the assist came in his last four games with the Galicians.
