A lot of opportunities for both sides, but it was an entertaining game with several chances to score. Fabril qualified for the promotion playoff, but the lead at the top was reduced to only two points.

Coach Cristobal Parralo was recovering attackers Borja Galán and Borja Domingo, but centre midfielder Edu Expósito was unavailable after been picked by the first team for the visit to Real Sociedad.
The draw was a 4-2-3-1, Álex Cobo was the starting goalie, Blas Alonso performed at the right side of the defence, Lucas Viña did it at the left, the centre-backs were Quique Fornos and Arnau Campeny. Álvaro Queijeiro and Carlos López were the centre midfielders, Jardel attacked from the right wing, Óscar García did it from the left, Álex Corredera was the playmaker and Borja Domingo was the centre forward.

The rival was Alondras CF, side still trying to clinch the permanence. Coach José Fernández surprised as top scorer Pablo Couñago was left on the bench. Andrés Giráldez was the starting striker.

No goals, but a highly entertaining game with the ball hitting the woodwork in three different plays. Depor’s lads had the ball possession despite the early injury of Carlos López and also suffered with the quick attacks from the locals.

The first fifteen minutes were boring, Fabril had the ball possession and didn’t create scoring opportunities, while Alondras CF approached through a couple of lateral free-kick that were cleared by the visiting defence. But then the picture radically changed.

Because both sides starting to have goal opportunities, a picture that didn’t change until the final whistle. At minute 16, Álex Gómez attempted from the edge of the area, Álex Cobo made the deflection and the ball hit the post. In that play Carlos López got injured and he was replaced by Jorge Carreón.

Then Fabril started to have its opportunities, Jardel attempted from the edge of the area and the ball went over the crossbar (20’), then Carreón headed the ball in a lateral free-kick of Corredera with the Bolivian missing the target (34’).

And then Depor B hit the woodwork twice, the first play was a collective action in which Jardel hit the near post after collecting a low cross from the right, Borja Domingo scored after collecting the loose ball, but the striker was offside (37’).

Three minutes later a shot by Carreón was deflected by local keeper Brais Pereiro, then defender Fiuza tried to clear the danger, but ended hitting the post (40’). In the next play Arnau failed in the output of the ball and Álex Cobo had to make the save in the one-on-action before Álex Gómez.

The game continued to be entertaining in the second part, just seconds after the kick-off Blas Alonso attempted a low shot from the left corner of the area and Brais made the save, then Borja Domingo didn’t find the ball in a counterattack and after a cross from Óscar (47’).

At minute 49, Fondevila missed the target with a downward header after a corner-kick, the same player had the next chance for Alondras CF, it was a free-kick in which his curved shot passed over the wall to end missing the far post (55’).

Coach Cristobal Parralo ordered the second substitution and Borja Galán replaced Jardel. Until this point neither Borja Domingo nor Óscar have had a chance to score, but that changed in a matter of one minute.

First Borja Domingo collected the ball at the edge of the area and his shot was saved by Brais, only seconds later Óscar made a solo-play on the left wing, the winger eluded a rival and his low shot missed the near post.

Alondras CF responded with Castilla firing from the left side of the area, and Álex Cobo made the save (66’). Four minutes Andrés was heading into the net a cross from the left, but the referee disallowed the goal due to a doubtful offside.

The final substitution at Depor B was the entry of Ángel Fernández for Borja Domingo and the chances to score were still arriving. At minute 77, Mauro completed a shot from the edge of the area that was saved by Álex Cobo, six minutes later Borja Galán didn’t connect the ball at the box after a drilling cross from Óscar.

It’s hard to explain how this game ended goalless, because both sides showed their best facet and created enough opportunities to net more than once. In the end a deserved point for each side and both teams ended with different feelings; Alondras CF aren’t satisfied, because it isn’t helping to increase the surviving chances and things are more positive for Fabril, because the team certified the participation in the promotion playoff, and the lead in the group was extended in one point after the defeat of Rápido de Bouzas. Only three games are remaining and Depor B only need two more points to certify the first spot, the next meeting is the visit of relegation-troubled CD Castro to Abegondo (Sunday, 17h00 CET).
