Deportivo are looking for a striker and a left winger, the soap opera of Lucas Pérez continues, while Adrián López is negotiating a return to the club.

Deportivo have been playing in pre-season with only one centre forward available (Andone), so to reinforce the position is the priority at the club. Actually, the club is searching for two reinforcements, one forward and another attacker that can also be used as a left winger.

Everybody knows that the desired choice is Lucas Pérez, and his case is practically changing day after day. On Tuesday, the news was that Arsenal FC rejected the second offer presented by Depor, which according to his agent was around the €10 million, and at the same time he was practically ruling out any option of returning to Deportivo.

But by Thursday the news was that Arsene Wenger was confirming in a press conference that Lucas is leaving Arsenal FC and also that the player had presented a transfer request, "I don't like to lose him [Lucas], but we have main strikers and too much competition is no competition anymore." Wenger said.

So, there’s still hope that Lucas can rejoin Deportivo on this season; in the meantime, another name came out: Adrián López. On Thursday, La Voz de Galicia reported that Deportivo had already contacted the striker and that it was negotiating with FC Porto a loan spell.

The news were confirmed by coach Pepe Mel on Friday, “Yes, he’s a player with whom I already talked twice, he is open to come. Let’s hope that everything can be sorted. The team needs someone to complement in attack, I don’t want anyone competing with Florin. I want a complement that will make us better. The sporting secretariat is working in that position. It would have been easier to sign the first option that we got, but we are trying to make the right things.”
