No big news are expected on deadline day, at least for Deportivo. The arrival of Lucas already occurred and the only pending subject is the confirmation of what will happen with Saúl and Bicho.

Deportivo arrive to deadline day with a squad composed by 25 players, this after it was announced that Lucas Pérez has signed for Deportivo in a loan deal with Arsenal FC. The club won’t sign a new goalkeeper and therefore the chapter of arrivals is closed.

So, the only pending subject is the exits. Deportivo was tempted by the Premier League with Florin Andone, on Wednesday it was known that Brighton Hove Albion presented an offer for €16 million, which was rejected. Only one day later the offer was raised to €18 million, again it was rejected as Depor will only allow the exit of the striker for €30 million (his release clause).

With the big European markets already closed, the only chance to see someone leaving on deadline day is with a Spanish club making an important offer and that seems remote, so the pending subjects left for the end is the future of Bicho and Saúl García.

Bicho was offered to play for Fabril and have the chance to train with the first team in midweek, at the beginning he was waiting for other offers, but it seems that he will stay. The club still has to inscribe him for the Segunda B season.

In the case of Saul, the left-back didn’t train on Thursday as it was announced that he was about to go loaned to Brescia Calcio at the Italian Serie B, but nothing more was announced and, with the Italian market already closed, it is still to be seen what will happen to him. If Saúl leaves and Bicho goes to Fabril, then the first team will stay with 23 players, exactly the number wanted by coach Pepe Mel.
