MATCHDAY 14: SURPRISES

Valencia CF lost their unbeaten condition, while the good results of the bottom three clubs have left a tighter situation at the relegation zone.

Some surprises in matchday 14, the main one was to see Valencia CF losing in their visit to Getafe CF (1-0). Los Che lost their first game on the season, but remain second at the standings. Two teams remain undefeated: FC Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.

The Catalans starred another surprise on the matchday as they dropped two points hosting RC Celta (2-2), while the Madrilenians faced some problems, but ended defeating Real Sociedad at home (2-1). Real Madrid didn’t seize the situation as they only got a point visiting Athletic Club (0-0). Sevilla CF are now tied in points with Los Blancos after their 2-0 victory hosting Deportivo. Villarreal CF were surprised in their visit to CD Leganés (3-1) and remain sixth.

It was an unusual good week for the bottom teams, the last three places conquered two victories and one draw. Málaga CF picked a point hosting Levante UD (0-0), while UD Las Palmas breath fresh air hosting Real Betis (1-0).

Alavés did the impossible turning a 2-0 score visiting FC Girona into a 2-3 win, the three goals were scored by Ibai Gómez within the last twenty minutes. SD Eibar also conquered a refreshing victory over RCD Espanyol (3-1). Now, with the defeat of Deportivo, the last four clubs are only separated by four points.

MATCHDAY 15: INTENSE MATCHES AT THE TOP
Real Madrid host Sevilla CF, both sides are tied in points in the last spot for the Champions League; then FC Barcelona make a tricky visit to sixth place Villarreal CF. Depor have an important clash hosting CD Leganés.

The matchday is completed with other seven games: Alavés Vs. UD Las Palmas; Getafe CF Vs. SD Eibar; Valencia CF Vs. RC Celta; Real Sociedad Vs. Málaga CF; Real Betis Vs. Atlético Madrid; Levante UD Vs. Athletic Club & RCD Espanyol Vs. Girona FC.
