Alejandro Arribas is at the door out, he skipped the last two trainings with permission from the club and wants to leave due to the lack of opportunities.

Before the second-leg in Copa at UD Las Palmas, there was a little fight in a training session between Alejandro Arribas and Andone, two men that have been out of the Parralo’s plans since his arrival. The coach decided to leave both men in A Coruña despite they were going to be starters. That was the stroke that broke the camel’s back and Arribas decided that it was enough.

Since his arrival Parralo has preferred to play with other options at the centre of the defence, even Raúl Albentosa as the third option behind Schär and Sidnei. The true is that the disappointment felt by Arribas is coming since the start of season.

During the pre-season, in the match for the Teresa Herrera against West Brom, Arribas was a substitute and was so angry for it that he didn’t stay on the pitch to celebrate the victory over the British club, that’s why he wasn’t in the picture with the trophy.

And the Madrilenian defender saw how Mel chose Schär and Sidnei as the starting couple in liga, so in the end he only played three games when some of the normal starters were out (1-2 at Betis, 1-0 Vs. Alavés and 1-4 at RCD Espanyol). His last game at RCD Espanyol was a disaster as he scored an own goal and committed a penalty.

So, Arribas’ frustration is coming before the incident with Andone or the arrival of Parralo, now he has decided to leave during the winter window and chose to play in Mexico, country that he has visited during his vacation period.

During the week it was known that Pumas have been in negotiations with Deportivo, though it’s not certain the state of those negotiations. Some sources have said that they Mexican club was offering €3 million for the defender, while others say they only want the player for free.

The only certain thing is that Arribas skipped Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s training session. The club informed that he had “muscle issues” and that he was working at the gym, but the true is that the defender wasn’t seen by anyone at Abegondo during those days. It invites to think that the exit of the centre-back is imminent, his contract ends in June of 2019.
