The bad streak of Deportivo continues to break records. Depor relived its nightmares having the typical game in which is unable to win, while Seedorf continues to fail with his decisions.

The seven notes from the game Vs. UD Las Palmas:

1- Same old story: Anyone following Deportivo should have noticed at this point that the same script is constantly repeated during the games, once again the Blanquiazul outfit paid a high price after committing a huge error passing the ball, once again the team created enough chances in the first half to deserve more than one goal and the victory, and once again the team was flat enough in the second part to desperate a group of fans that already gave up.  In this sense it’s possible to say that the arrival of Seedorf hasn’t changed anything; actually it only reaffirmed the path to Segunda.

2- A new early goal:The distraction between Muntari and Navarro cost a goal, and it came at minute 3. This is the 6th goal allowed by Deportivo within the first ten minutes, it’s the highest number at Primera División. A curiosity is that it’s the third early goal allowed on this season before UD Las Palmas, this one came at minute 3 and in the first round the goal from the Canarians came at minute 7, while in Copa they also scored early at the Riazor (8’).

3- Pointless substitutions: One of the main problems of this Deportivo, mainly when it plays at the Riazor, is the big difference in the performance comparing the first and the second half. Once again, the team created several chances in the first part, but the number was reduced in the second. This problem should be corrected making changes, and Seedorf continues to fail creating an impact with the substitutions. He said that Çolak was going to be replaced at half-time after his collision with a rival, so he delayed the change, and the other two came too late.

4- Muntari is in bad shape: The signing of Sulleyman Muntari was a petition of Seedorf, it explains why he is a fixed starter. The problem is that the veteran is not having any positive impact at the team; actually in this game it was the opposite. In this game he started the error that cost a goal and was close to be sent off, his substitution arrived too late.

5- All eyes over Albentosa: Raúl Albentosa had to swallow the whistles in the first half, he is one of the main victims on this season after committing several key errors and the fans don’t understand why he is the preferred choice over Schar. The true is that he was one of the best players in this game, he not only scored the equalizer, but was also serious in defence making eight clearances and one interception.

6- 60 goals allowed in four straight seasons: The goal of UD Las Palmas meant the number 60 allowed on this season. It’s the fourth straight season with Depor allowing at least 60 goals at Primera: 2014/15 (60), 2015/16 (61), 2016/17 (61) and 2017/18 (61).

7- Tying two negative marks: Deportivo have now spent 14 straight matchdays without winning a Primera game, it’s tying the mark had with Víctor Fernández during the campaign 2014/15, while Seedorf has now spent seven games without winning, only Enrique Orizaola spent so much time without winning during his debut at the club (1966).
