Grey derby in Galicia. Deportivo are demoted and the fans are frustrated, while the attention in RC Celta is focused in who will be the coach on next season.

Tasteless Galician derby for Deportivo, Los Blanquiazules visit RC Celta on Saturday (18h30 CET) knowing that they are already relegated, and with the general opinion more pending to know what’s going to be the project for the next Segunda season.

Little has been talked of the derby, at Deportivo the players were not going to talk on the week, the decision was reverted later, but the players have been reflecting on the poor season of the team and the consequences of the demotion.

There are two casualties for the derby: Sidnei Rechel and Eneko Bóveda (both thigh), while other two men were doubtful: Adrián López and Muntari. The Asturian attacker didn’t play against FC Barcelona due to a leg knock and this week he trained apart, while the Ghanaian midfielder played against the Catalans after surpassing a thigh injury, but this week he also trained apart.

In the end both men received the okay from doctors on Thursday and are available. Bakkali skipped the game against FC Barcelona due to a knock, but he trained with the group on this week; actually he was tested as a starter ahead of the derby.

RC Celta also arrive to the meeting in a letdown, not as much as Depor, but the disappointment among the fans is clear as the team have little chances to qualify to Europe. The attention is more focused in coach Juan Carlos Unzué, because there’s the debate if he should continue or not for next campaign. The latest rumor is that he is going to be replaced by Leganés’ Asier Garitano

The big problem for the derby is striker Iago Aspas, he suffered a muscle injury playing against FC Barcelona (April 17) and will probably miss the clash. He hasn’t trained on this week and will join midfielder Nemanja Radoja (rib) and defender Facundo Roncaglia (shoulder luxation) as the casualties for injury reasons.

There’s a fourth casualty for the derby: winger Emre Mor, the Turkish suffered an ankle sprain on Tuesday and didn’t train on Wednesday, but according to the media he had a conflict with a team mate and Unzué has already sidelined him from the last three games in liga.
