Last chapter with Sidnei Rechel. The Brazilian centre-back has been transferred to Real Betis for an inferior amount to what was going to paid by Krasnodar.

New exit for Sidnei Rechel, the club informed on Thursday that the centre-back has been transferred to Real Betis. He is signing a four-year deal with the Primera side and the amount of the operation wasn’t revealed. But president Tino Fernández said hours before the operation was confirmed that the amount is inferior to what Krasnodar FC was going to pay (he said this in the act in which Luckia announced the extension of the sponsorship until 2021).

On July 19, Deportivo confirmed the transfer of Sidnei to Russian club Krasnodar FC. The Galician club didn’t announce the amount of the operation, but it was speculated that it was €6 million. But only two days later the operation was already broken.

In the middle of the final process, the agents of the players tried to raise the wages of the defender, the Russians didn’t like this and dropped the transfer. So, the centre-back returned to A Coruńa and re-joined the trainings. Then the club started to negotiate with Real Betis at the end of last week.

This is the seventh confirmed exit among the players under contract after the announced departures of Florin Andone, Emre Çolak, Róber, Juanfran, Fabian Schär and Luisinho. Previously, other eight men ended their contracts or loan spells: Rubén Martinez, Kóval, Fernando Navarro, Fede Valverde, Bakkali, Muntari, Adrián López and Lucas Pérez.
