Depor arrive to the final week in the market trying to close the exits of Tytoń and Albentosa, while at least one more signing is expected.

The summer transfer window ends on Friday’s midnight. Deportivo already completed 13 signings and 17 exits, and a couple of additional operations should take place before the closure of the market. Currently the team is composed by 25 men.

The expected exits are Przemysław Tytoń and Raul Albentosa. The Polish keeper will probably leave until the final two days as he will rescind his contract, while the centre-back was linked with a move to Red Bull Salzburg, though Carmelo Del Pozo stated there still the chance he can stay.

Actually, the ex-Eibar was included in the roster for the friendly game against Racing de Ferrol. Still, the arrival of Michele Somma on last week invites to think that Albentosa has the door open in order to leave. Neither of these exits would provoke a new signing as the club already has two men in their positions.

There’s possibility that other players could leave, Saúl García hasn’t been picked for the first two games in liga and there are rumours that he could leave, while the media informed that Carles Gil has an offer from RCD Espanyol.

At least one more signing is expected, though it will depend on the exits as the 25 spots at the first team are currently covered. Carmelo wants one more attacker after the recent injuries of Cartabia and Christian Santos.

First the name of Álex Alegria (25, Real Betis) was linked to Depor, but the operation was delayed after Betis has had problems to keep Sergio León and might be forced to sell him, which will open the doors to Alegria in order to say.

The second name linked with Depor is Carlos Fernández Luna (22, Sevilla CF). Córdoba CF were close to sign him, but Deportivo might have convinced him. The media in Andalusia reports that there’s already a deal for his loan.

There’s also the case of Álex Mula (22. Málaga CF). Carmelo was asked about him on last week and he said that, “There isn’t any agreement with Málaga. He is an interesting player, but we understand that if we need good players it is for the long term and not for twelve months, if we do that then it must be an exceptional player and there aren’t too many exceptional players at Segunda. We are going to bring players that are interesting in the mid-term, not in the short-term, if it happens it will be a rare exception.”

His words were interpreted as Depor couldn’t include a buyout option in the deal, reason why it was ruled out. But the media in Málaga insist that the player wants to join Deportivo, and even that both clubs already have any agreement only pending to see Málaga CF solving the puzzle they have with the salary cap.
