Frustration among the players for failing in what was one of the last bullets for Deportivo. Coach Martí didn’t want to admit that his team played a bad game.

José Luis Martí denied the idea that Depor played a bad game, instead he said that small details defined the winner, “The match started with ups and downs. It was out of control at the beginning and then started a stretch where we were better. From there, within the last minutes of the first half, we end up with more distances between the lines. In the second part there were occasions for one and another side. Ours hit the woodwork and theirs entered in.”

"The two teams have made a great game; they have always searched for the victory. The success in their action makes us to leave empty. Obviously, we deserved something more. The drawback is that we didn’t finish the plays. Above all, in the first half we had an opportunity for the last pass and that pass was wrong. As the team was tired, we were no longer able to do it. From here we can only think about correcting the things we can and analyzing the game. As example, I don’t know how many corners we had without generating danger.” He added.

Despite the negativism among the fans, the Majorcan coach remembered that the team still in the fight for promotion, “Obviously there are options. We are two points away. The team gave everything and broke its face. The outcome was caused by a loss for wanting to seek the victory."

Captain Álex Bergantiños admitted that the defeat is painful, "We were very excited about winning the game and getting into the playoffs, it was a very even match, when we were better we got that loss of the ball that generated their goal, and from there the game changed, we had options and a goal that was canceled. It was difficult but the team tried until the end, we are hurt by the defeat. This is a hard hit for us.”

The midfielder was also saying that they cannot give up at this point, "This group was already in a critical situation, when we lost at home against Rayo Majadahonda and Extremadura, it isn’t the situation we would like to live, it’s a long and hard week until Monday, and we have the hope of taking the match against Mallorca Nobody says that we cannot get into the playoffs, numbers are useless at this point, right now we have to think about winning against Mallorca, we don’t depend on ourselves, it's not good doing more calculations or looking at the calendar."

Edu Expósito was feeling sorry for his chance that ended hitting the post, "It's a pity that it went into the crossbar and didn’t enter. When we were better it was when we got the goal, then it was impossible to play, we tried it with all our weapons, but it couldn’t be.”

"They didn’t let us create a lot, we had chances and the ball didn’t enter. Logically, when they claimed the lead then they didn’t play anymore, if it had happened to us, we would have done the same. Now we have to add, try to stay with the good feelings and try to leave everything on the field." The midfielder added.

At CD Lugo, coach Eloy Jiménez said that his team deserved the victory, “Who is going to say that this wasn’t a matter of suffering? We had a great rival in front and the team in general lines deserved to win. We succeeded in the chance we had and they didn’t. We were able to take the ball away from Depor, especially in the first half. We have known how to suffer. This is now over and we have another final with Extremadura.”
