Deportivo completed three exits during the last day in the market; Rolán was loaned to Mexican club FC Juárez, Róber was transferred to Levante UD. And Caballo rescinded his contract.

Deportivo confirmed on Monday’s afternoon that Diego Rolán will play loaned at Mexican club FC Juárez. No further details were released regarding the operation, only that the deal includes a buyout option. The player was already in Mexico and was even presented with his new club. The operation was considered vital in the attempt to make late signings for the new season.  The deal is complex as it also involves the participation of another Mexican club, Tigres de Monterey, and even included the arrival of winger Beto da Silva.

Hours later, the club announced that Róber Pier has been transferred to Levante UD. Deportivo didn’t inform about the details of the operation, but in past days the media in A Coruńa reported that the Valencian aren’t paying anything now, only a percentage of a future transfer.

And the last exit on deadline day came at the last minute, the club was trying to loan out Diego Caballo, but the player ended rescinded his contract and later signed a three-year deal with Extremadura UD. The left-back was ending his link with the club at the end of the campaign.

Diego Rolan was signed on the season 2017/18 in a confusing operation with Girondins FC, firstly he was announced as reinforcement for the team that was going to compete at Primera, and later ended playing loaned at Málaga CF. The club never confirmed his signing and neither how much it cost. The reports in the media were saying that €6 million.

Then, at the start of last season and with Depor already at Segunda, he showed up for the first training session without any official announcement, and he left a few days later in a loan spell negotiated with CD Leganés. At the time Carmelo Del Pozo said that it was a good operation for Depor as the Madrilenians were paying his wages (€1 million) and they also had a buyout option. But the player was a disaster at CD Leganés and was sent in a new loan during the winter window, this time to Deportivo Alavés, place where he neither succeeded.

In the case of Róber, he is a player that came out from Fabril and that only played twice in liga. In 2016 he didn’t want to continue in A Coruńa and the club negotiated a loan spell with Levante UD, the deal was extended in the following two years and the centre-back has played 84 games with them. Currently he is recovering from a knee injury.

The last exit was Diego Caballo, the left-back was promoted on last campaign from Fabril and ended making 25 appearances at Segunda, and during the current tournament he played twice after three matchdays, and only missed the game at SD Huesca after suffering a nose fracture.

Deportivo released eleven men that were under contract ahead of the new season. The first one to leave was goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, who was loaned to AC Omonia Nicosia. Later centre midfielder Edu Expósito and striker Quique González were transferred to SD Eibar. Juanfran Moreno rescinded his contract in order to sign for Turkish club Alanyaspor, while Pedro Mosquera did the same to end at SD Huesca. Left-back Gerard Valentín was loaned to CD Lugo, Fede Cartabia ended loaned at Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli. And the previous exit was the release of Pedro Sánchez, who ended signing for Albacete Balompié.  Then Róber, Caballo and Rolán left the club on deadline day.
