New positive result for the Ladies as they remain undefeated. It was an equal game with both sides having chances to score.

Coach Manu Sánchez recovered Silvia Mérida and Miriam, but Érika and Maya Yamamoto were still out injured. María Isabel Rodríguez ‘Misa’ was debuting at the goal. The rival was UD Granadilla Tenerife, same team that crushed the Ladies in the Teresa Herrera (1-5).

Entertaining game with the Ladies dominating the actions for big part of the meeting, but both sides had enough chances to have scored more goals. Depor Ladies demonstrated an important progression after the heavy loss in the Teresa Herrera.

Deportivo started better in the game; at minute 7, Athena Del Castillo had a clear chance to score after been assisted by Peke, but his final shot went over the crossbar. And the first goal in the game didn’t last in arrive, Peke released a cross from the right and Gaby didn’t miss from close range.

The Ladies were claiming a deserved lead after a strong start, but they weren’t going to enjoy it for too long as UDG Tenerife scored the equalizer just three minutes later. A cross from the left was met by Ange Koko and she sent a volley into the back of the net.

The game was more equal after the goals, but Depor were still insisting, mainly pushing on the right wing and Gaby had the next chance with a shot that was blocked by visiting goalie Aline Reis (29’). Two minutes later, Alba Merino was grabbed inside the area, but no penalty call was made.

Depor Ladies ended the first part better, UDG Tenerife suffered defending the long throws and thus the locals had a couple of approximations, but these actions didn’t end in shots on target.  The best change in this frame of the game was a shot of Iris that missed the target (42’).

The second half started with a chance for Deportivo, it was a solo-move of Gaby in which her crossed shot went close to the far post (48’). The Ladies were dominating the actions and were insisting on both sides, mainly on the left through Nuria Rábano and Gaby.

The polemic call came at minute 57, María José scored for UDG Tenerife and after a play on the right, but the referee whistled a very doubtful offside. At minute 64, Tere Abelleira had a chance in a direct free-kick, but Aline made the save. The Canarians responded with a long-distance shot of Silvia Doblado that missed the target (67’).

The first substitution was the entry of Kika for Athenea Del Castillo. The game was open at the middle of the second part, both sides were trying to attack. Then Manu Sánchez refreshed the attack with the entry of Michelle Romero for Peke.

The final minutes were interesting as both teams pushed for the victory, Alba Merino didn’t control properly a pass from Tere Abelleira (80’) and two minutes later Raissa fired from the edge of the area and the ball went out. The clearest chance in this frame was for UDG Tenerife, Martín-Prieto collected the ball after a local error, but she was unable to define (87’).
